One InformIT client writes:

We got an email from DRI yesterday saying the redundant power supply to one of our servers was showing 'down'.

I went back and checked it and the light was off on that power supply. I plugged it into a different strip and connection and it still did not come back up.

DRI contacted HP to order a replacement. It got here this morning. Since the power supply in those servers are hot-pluggable I just pulled the old power supply out and slid in the new one and it came right back up.

A few minutes later I got an email from DRI saying that they saw the new power supply came back on line.

Thanks for the quick notification of the problem and action on getting the replacement part and for the notification that they saw it had been replaced.
