Restore Files from InformIT Backup Service

To Restore data to your local computer, do the following:

  • Sign in to InformIT Backup Service on your local machine via your browser. (See Log in to InformIT Backup Service for more details.)

  • From your InformIT Backup Client, select LIST BACKUP FOR RESTORE from the RESTORE menu...



  • You'll then see a list of backups which you can restore data from...



  • Click the RESTORE icon on the backup you want to restore from...



  • Select which VERSION of the backup you want to restore files from...



  • CHECK the files and folders you want to restore...



  • Specify WHERE you want the files to be restored to...



  • You can control additional settings via the ADVANCED OPTIONS button...




  • Click the RESTORE BUTTON to request the restore...




  • You'll see the RESTORE STATUS window, showing your progress...



  • Once the restore is finished, you'll find the files in the restored to the location that you requested...
