So you have a Disaster Recovery plan for your server, right? Does it work? How do you know? If you haven't actually EXECUTED that plan, you DON'T know. Let us help you KNOW that your DR plan for your server WORKS.

I'm interested in ALWAYS having a way to restore my server in case of emergency...

My question or comment:

Disaster Recovery - Server Restore Test
What EVIDENCE do you have that your Server DR plan will work?

There is only one way to know if your Disaster Recovery plan will work: test it.

How do you test it? Take the backup image of your server and restore it to different server hardware, then verify that:

  1. Your data, applications and server environment were successfully restored to the new server hardware.

  2. You are able to execute the restore to new server hardware as quickly as you'd need in the case of a true disaster.

Desktop Resources' DR Server Restore Test does exactly that, including:

  • we provide server hardware to restore to.
  • we restore the server image to the new server.
  • The test is accomplished totally separate from your production server, so there is NO risk or downtime for your production environment during the test.

Following the test, Desktop Resources then recaps the results of the process and makes recommendations if there are changes that could be made to improve your results in the future.

Wouldn't you like to have the peace of mind of knowing that your DR plan for your servers really DOES work? Interested? To discuss how to get started or address other questions you might have, you can contact Desktop Resources, Inc. via:
