Tips & Tricks:
Shrink your Digital Pictures

No matter how you celebrate the holidays, usually it involves taking a few snapshots, and these days that probably involves a digital camera. So you have the "Steven Spielberg" camera, and you shoot a few thousand shots of your closest friends. Then you try to transfer these photos to your computer and find out that each picture takes up more space than the entire hard drive on your computer! What can you do? Here's a few tips:

  • Reduce the camera resolution...
  • Use built-in compression on your computer to reduce the size, especially when e-mailing the photos...
  • Use an image-editing program to reduce the size of the files...

See more details from our website on how to handle those huge picture files.

New Resources:
Run Windows on your Mac

You just got a Mac at home for Christmas, and you'd like to run some of your applications from work on it as well...but you have Windows at work. So what should you do?

We get this question all the time, so we've put together some information resources to help you out. (And we're knowledgeable about this topic, because we run Windows on the Mac every day to run our business here at DRI.) Two new resources are available for you:

  1. Solutions Center: Run Windows 7 on a Mac
Here you'll be able to see what it looks like when you run Windows on a Mac, as well as be able to submit specific questions that you have to our engineering team.

  2. Resource Center: Run Windows 7 on a Mac
Here you'll find links to resources on the net that enable you to run Windows on the Mac.

We hope you find these new resources helpful, and please let us know if we can answer any questions that you might have.

Getting Better Results from Your Technology Investment
The Benefits of Managed Services

Many organizations view the money they spend on technology as an expense of doing business, rather than an investment to help their business be more successful. This whitepaper will discuss why the "managed services" approach to technology support yields superior results.
